@MicDubTV I think the memetic super aggro "this ain't arc raiders" mentality has hampered interesting gameplay possibilities (in solos for sure). Even in scenarios where it's completely stupid to be aggro, 90% the time they're aggro immediately, even to the point of ignoring other threats.
Lore changes. Ash instead of fog is honestly a pretty creative and visually appealing re-imagining. Mary's cult ties, interesting and ties in with other Silent Hills, but kinda detracts from James' motivation for the bad deed he does. The Mary-Maria-Laura combo, interesting.
Watched Return to Silent Hill. Thoughts are mixed, but I enjoyed most of it. Great set design. Some beautiful cinematography. Interesting re-imagining of lore from the game. Good acting from the main cast (especially Mary/ia but also James). 1/
Hannah Emily Anderson as Mary/Maria/Spoiler surprised me. She absolutely nailed each of her roles while managing for each to feel distinct from one another
Jeremy Irving's acting as James was great. He nailed the personality/emotional/dead inside moments of James. Wish they'd stuck with the game character's haircut though, idk why but it was distracting to me lol!. Replacing James' jacket with a leather one was also a Lil odd.
@MarcusCVance Frankly I think this whole discourse is overblown because I feel it's obvious that it's heavy resemblance to an AK is intended thematically. Space rebels have a Space AK. Bit on the nose aesthetically but it's a very minor aspect of the episode lol.
@giancar73012035 There's a popular FPS on Roblox that has more momentum lol. Feel bad for the devs, but hope they tweak some things after this reception. There's obviously a demand for such things so long as Titanfall 3 seems to never be coming out lmao.
R.I.P Destiny 2. It's been years since I played (I saw it moving a direction I wasn't a fan of). I still have great memories of the Red War/Forsaken era. Dredgen was one of the only mmo(?) "Titles" I've ever grided for lol. Still regret never getting one of those IRL dredgen pins
So as a hefty chunk of consumers choose to avoid AI + AI expanding regardless- I wonder if it'll become some AI ouroborus wherein both the content creation/consumption is mostly AI. Imagine all the electricity drain for machine to entertain the machine. But line go up 👍
@matpolloy Yeah, I'd say Andor is not only an amazing Star Wars show, buts it's a great show in general. If someone had zero Star Wars knowledge, I'd say they'd still enjoy it as a standalone. Acting, writing, props, sfx, etc etc are masterclass.
Twitter consistently makes me feel like a crazy person. With huge passion projects like Gamoverse, there's always the possibility it turns out bad, tragically. From the chatter on Twitter, I went into the pilot expecting that. But, it rocks?
Even what I would consider the only low point of the pilot, I'd call just "fine". Not bad, just fine. The rest ranges from good to great. It hits its points to explain the world, setup rules, introduce characters/their dynamics. Killer style and soundtrack.
Some of the criticism I've seen with tons of likes, had me all, "Aw man" Then I watched the pilot, and some of these criticisms don't even make sense. To the point the "Netflix- write shows as if they're only being half watched as background noise" sounds justified.
@danhuilla I swear there's a hidden mechanic that they will literally teleport above you at THE most inopportune time feasible. I've kept eyes on them to prevent it, and still somehow they're right above me mid-boss fight as my shields bust.
@CerbersEnjoyer@poellll Go for them headshots! It has like zero recoil. Busts shields quickly. Idk about the charge shot, but I just use the normal fire mode.
