Obtaining British citizenship changed nothing about my day to day life - I could work, claim benefits, even vote. The ONLY reason I did it was for FOM.

He may not have a university degree. Prospective employers may not be willing to invest time/cost involved in sponsoring a work visa. Your point?

@Levicoaster @Worldgirl1 @BeeHutton @edmorrish @HPIAndyCowper I worked as a secretary in a City law firm until five years ago (still work in law, just not in the City anymore, thank god). The partners' hourly rate was £750 an hour in 2015. I strongly suspect it will now be over £1,000 per hour.
