@Tony_Scott11 More likely 'the PL and Manchester City have reached an agreement to conclude the charges against MCFC and a fine of Β£5m has been agreed between the club & PL. The PL would like to commend MCFC for their continued cooperation on the matter, and supporting the PL brand.......'
@GiuliaBould Looking forward to this computer programme being used to formulate the Man City and Chelsea scenarios. What a load of nonsense. Does this mean we get our points back for the following season? How many times can a team be punished for the same offence?
@joe_thomas18@CBeesleyEcho@AkaPaulHoward Just like the article, it's 1982 for me - the colour, the crowd, players we'd never seen before (unlike now) - Brazil v Italy, France v West Germany, and loads more. No World Cup has come close in my opinion
@AkaPaulHoward This is so true, and brings back similar memories. I was 12 in 1982, and have some memories of 1978 but 1982 was the one. I believe we still VHS tapes with highlights of all the matches. Loads of players we'd never heard of, trying to write down their squad numbers, brilliant
@TheAthleticFC@Paddy_Boyland For those advocating the 'Brighton/Bournemouth/Brentford model', this is what you get with the better players attracting interest elsewhere and you'll need to move on (also a consequence of niot getting Europe), and then re-invest - also a challenge
@Iancroll1 I would think its the former - although football these days is all very rigid so anyone with a degree of 'off the cuff' ability is seen as a standout. Not a patch on previous front 3s of Barca, and also a reflection of their scattergun transfer policy recently
@matflusk Thats my point really. Fine margins have decided league position and we've come out on the wrong side.
Overall, league has become stat-driven, set piece, safety first football which leads to large number of draws
