We are proud to announce that Rebecca Adler-Nissen and Christian F. Rostbøll have both received the prestigious ERC Advanced Grant from the European Research Council (ERC).
With funding of €2.5 million, Christian F. Rostbøll will embark on the MoPo project.
Moralizing Politics examines how morality plays a growing role in modern politics, for example in cancel culture, climate shaming and accusations of fake news. When we judge each other as good or bad people, politics becomes moralized. How can moralizing politics be transformed to strengthen, rather than threaten, democracy?
With the same €2.5 million grant, Rebecca Adler-Nissen sets her sights on the project: TECHORDER.
TECHORDER explores the geopolitical struggles that shape the new global technological world order. National security and economic interests play a central role, but different conceptions of the future of AI and quantum technology - both dystopian and utopian - are crucial to international cooperation and rules.
🌟 Congratulations to the two, we will be following closely.
🌟 The projects will start from the beginning of 2026

Populist leaders typically claim to speak 'in the name of the people' but they rarely allow the people to express their opinion independently through institutions of citizen participation.
