My paper "Institutionalizing deliberative mini-publics? Issues of legitimacy and power for randomly selected assemblies in political systems" was just published in @critical_policy.
I analyse 3 approaches: in terms of temporality, of legitimacy, & of role. https://t.co/041ENTMN3o
My paper "#Deliberative System & #CitizensAssemblies: What Kind of #Democracy Do the French Want?" has just been published @CEVIPOF@sciencespo. It draws on data from the DeCoDe survey & its 2,500 respondents. Two findings deserve to be taken seriously.🧵

The real divide is not between supporters & opponents of #sortition. It is between those who want to give more #power to the people & those who want to keep #CitizensAssemblies in a consultative role under elected officials' control. The #data are clear, for now.

"53% of French citizens support replacing the Senate with a randomly selected assembly. An absolute majority." #SortitionFR#Lottocracy
Wow! @DimitriCourant

@Voicepal_me I am using @Voicepal_me and it is great. However, the fact that there is no desktop / computer version is a real limitation. This prevents turning the sessions into documents and reworking them into articles or blog posts. When will the desktop version be launched?
