So this is a long one and a bit of a garbled rant but this whole ownership is so very weird? 🤷🏻‍♂️ The bits what’ve puzzled me most about their entire ownership of #sufc are:

A) They just either don’t understand or care about football optics. (They totally don’t seem to get trying to get in-front of negativity or have any clue about spin or negating toxic narratives and are always so painfully slow to communicate anything… It’s all reactionary and late).
B) They seemingly do not have even any base level understanding of how to run a football club (or the desire to seek advice or learn how to? I see zero effort or attempt to even look bothered 🤷🏻‍♂️).

Which leads to a feeling of:

They don’t care that they’re very noticeably absent and quiet.
They don’t care literally zero people understand their long term plan for the club (getting to the Prem isn’t a plan).
They don’t care how ridiculously incompetent they look when they sack a manager without understanding how ingrained in how the club functioned he was.
They don’t understand how incompetent they look to employ someone but not surround them with the required people to give them any chance of success.
They don’t care how naive it looks to put all their faith in a guy with zero track record to manage millions of £ of investment to then need to bin him off when it becomes obvious he’s a charlatan.
They don’t understand how weird it looks to sack the (well liked) assistant manager on a seeming whim).
They don’t care that no matter how confident they might be they’re saving themselves a lot of money it starts narratives, distrust and rumours to start circulating.
They don’t understand the optic of being a club that sells their best players only to replace with loans is one that looks in trouble.
They don’t understand that then openly communicating this as the clubs approach is hugely negative.
They don’t understand or care that the worry come from it being blatantly obvious that approach is unsustainable.

The biggest thing they seem to have underestimated tho is that all the above compile and compound and they don’t understand how bad all this looks to our own players, staff, and supporters but then also potential new potential sponsors, investors or players never mind the wider football world 🤷🏻‍♂️ why would anyone get involved?

It’s like textbook ‘an idiots guide to losing money’ that I just cannot understand from apparent ‘Billionaires’. 🤷🏻‍♂️ like I’ve nearly got to the point of thinking it’s all not real? And conspiracy theorising that we’re the subject of a reality tv programme or documentary or rehash of Brewsters Millions (and were chosen based purely on owning Brewster at the time? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣).

Seriously tho… all it would take to rectify is a bit of an outline plan and communication. Even if it’s as little as ‘look this window we’re not buying anyone we’ll be alright next summer tho because of a, b and c’ or ‘replacing assets with loan players is not our strategic plan’ would be nice. I rant on all the time that as supporters we just don’t need to know everything going on about every tiny bit of financial info going on at the club but in the absence of anything… negativity will breed negativity.

Like I’m not even at the point of worry I just find it so very very weird. 🤷🏻‍♂️
