My father worked in tech for 40 years.

He managed many people. He told me about a man he hired. This man was a foreigner. The new employee asked him how much of his paycheck he needs to pay him.

My father was shocked at the question.

He told the man that he doesn’t pay him anything, and that the money he makes is his and that he should never pay anyone any of his money.

The employee was socked by my father’s response.
