@RandomRambler15@R_P_one "large enough to be refitted with hybrid engines"
So I'm assuming they'll replace the batteries with a Gas Turbine gen set.
As long as HMT doesn't get involved, it should be big enough.
@sarrah_bellus From what I saw of New Years celebrations from around the world, it's not just an American thing - seems all fireworks displays have descended into quantity over quality.
@shawn_abigail1@pinstripedline Sadly no-one will know how to flight these non-touch screen devices, maintain them, nor have spares even if they did.
And most likely, non of the munitions will fit/work other than maybe dumb bombs.
@thinkdefence It’s a case of asking for every possible thing as it’s someone else’s budget/money.
Prob same for Mil Kit being over spec’d, hugely complex and maintenance nightmares
@thinkdefence My experience of both Gov IT & Big Org contracts is that requirements are usually driven by mgt & Dir reporting - this drives data collection, form design/entry making it a massive undertaking, reducing efficiency at ‘coal face’ and then the reports are never used!
@LandSharkUK Yes. Given the map of the proposed EU areas before BREXIT, England was to be, if I recall, three areas, the North & Midlands would have devolution(ish).
Only issue is if it’s another layer of gov and not replacing & existing layer - maybe county councils could go.
