Hey @PlayStation why the hell can't I leave a review on a game I purchased? Is it because I bought the disc and not your digital license shite? Do you hate physical media that much?
Care to explain? How about you, @insomniacgames? Wanna chime in?
Crazy to me that the culture at Sony Studios is such that they have no drive at doing anything other than the adult cinematic third-person action game about revenge instead of making stuff that was inventive & fun. If they do they get fired anyway. Top to bottom cultural loss
What are you thoughts on the current disconnect between PlayStation's reputation/public perception being in the gutter, possibly the lowest it's ever been...
But the business is still doing well and they are anticipating. breaking records in the coming months?
God of War Laufey's physical version seems to be getting a greater spotlight in their recent blog post compared to previous PlayStation Studio titles.
They really want to make sure people know it's getting a physical release.
🚨BREAKING SONY NEWS
🎮 SONY ASKED FOR FEEDBACK. GAMERS ANSWERED.
And this is where things get interesting.
Sony put out a PS5 survey asking players what they think about the console, its games, performance, online features, the DualSense and the overall PlayStation experience.
Physical media wasn’t specifically one of the questions.
Gamers brought it up anyway.
Players started sharing the survey and telling each other: if you’re worried about physical games disappearing, THIS is where you say it.
That matters.
Because gamers have spent years being told that digital-only is simply where the market is going, as if nobody gets a vote in the process.
Well, Sony asked.
And people answered.
Now the video making the rounds says the survey was closed early after that response started gaining traction. I haven’t seen enough independent confirmation to say WHY it closed, so I’m not going to pretend we know Sony’s motive.
But here’s the part we do know:
Sony is hearing about physical media from BOTH sides now.
Players are bringing it up in the consumer survey, while separate reporting says Sony has also been asking developers about the future of physical games.
That’s not nothing.
And maybe the bigger lesson here has nothing to do with whether Sony changes course tomorrow.
It’s this:
If a company asks its customers what they think, customers shouldn’t give them the answer the company wants.
Give them the answer YOU believe.
That’s what feedback is supposed to be.
Physical. Digital. Ownership. Pricing. Preservation. Accessibility. Whatever matters to you.
Speak up when they give you the microphone.
Because apparently people are listening.

It’s worth pointing out that they’re not asking their fans what THEY want.
Throughout this entire thing, they’ve shown their customers that their feelings on this situation don’t matter.
I’d start questioning everything because after all the bullshit surrounding physical games, I’m not gonna suddenly throw a party over one headline.
I’d want to see the actual details, what they’re promising, and whether they actually follow through.
Because at this point, “trust us” ain’t exactly enough.
REPORT: Sony is listening to feedback from players regarding physical media🚀
Kotaku spoke with executive director of Nippon Ichi Software, Kenzo Saruhashi, regarding the future of the physical media on PlayStation.
He stated that they spoke with Sony on the matter, and they are listening to feedback from players.
This feels a bit more promising, as it comes after recent developments that Sony is reportedly surveying developers as well, along with resentment going on in the industry towards Sony, from various studios and publishers, according to John Linneman from Digital Foundry.
