The attack outside a Manchester Synagogue this morning is utterly appalling and will undoubtedly send shockwaves through our Jewish community here in #StAlbans and across the UK. 🧵
My thoughts are with the families of the victims, the Jewish community more widely.
Hatred and violence should have no place in our communities. People of all faiths have the right to live peacefully.
I am absolutely appalled, saddened and angered by today's attack at Heaton Park Shul.
It's shocking that two lives were lost, with three others currently seriously injured, when going to worship on the holiest day of the Jewish year.

Thanks to everyone in Bury South who put their faith in me.
We were never likely to win in Bury but it's good day to be a Lib Dem. Very proud to have represented our party in this historic election.
Today is your chance to vote for a Fair Deal, to save our NHS, stop the sewage, look after carers and tackle the cost of living.
It's been the most remarkable campaign.
Take the leap. Vote Liberal Democrat by 10pm 🗳️

There should be no room for antisemitism - or any kind of religious intolerance - in Bury.
Our diverse religious communities are something we should be proud of.
He's also incorrect from a legal perspective.
To say "they shouldn't have that right" would be an expression of his own opinion.
To say "they don't have that right" is a factually inaccurate legal statement.
As a lawyer, he really should know better.
