You are absolutely right that in production agent systems today, the hardest problems are still around the control plane - reliable evals, observability, routing, policy enforcement, retries, and cost controls. We see Vector as complementary to that, not a replacement for it.
What Vector brings to the table is a trust + coordination layer for when agents need to interact with other agents (or humans) across organizational boundaries, especially for actions that involve real economic value, commitments, or reputation.
Think:
• Secure multi-agent escrow and settlement
• Verifiable reputation that travels with the agent
• Deterministic execution so agents can make binding commitments without race conditions
• Immutable audit trails for compliance-heavy use cases
We’re not claiming blockchain solves evals or observability, but once agents move from internal company tools to cross-company autonomous workflows, the need for a neutral, tamper-proof coordination layer becomes very real.
