Merry Christmas from @EMASNHSTrust Brackley Ambulance Station. Hope you all have an enjoyable day 🎄 we’re here for you if you need us but please only call in an emergency.
In the hot weather, it's best to stay out of the sun, especially between 11am & 3pm. If you or others feel unwell, get dizzy or feel weak; move to a cool place, rehydrate & cool your body down. @metoffice has some great tips for keeping cool #BeatTheHeat

The warmer weather can make you feel unwell. Symptoms of heatstroke include headache, dizziness a loss of appetite and feeling sick.
If the summer sun has made you feel unwell, your pharmacist is the best person to visit who can give you advice and any appropriate treatment.

In addition to working full-time for @EMASNHSTrust I also make myself available as a Medical First Responder (MFR) when I’m not actually at work, providing an additional community based resilience for our most life threatening (C1, C2) patients (1/3)
A summary of the top 5 types of incidents I’ve responded to are: breathing problems (17), cardiac arrests (14), unconscious (13), traumatic injuries (10) and RTC’s (10).
During 2020, I was booked ‘on-call’ for 1,939 hours over and above my rostered shifts, responding to 118 patients providing early treatment or making alternative pathway referrals where appropriate to provide best patient care.
#RT08 - A busy few days on call for @EMASNHSTrust a breathing difficulties followed by a cardiac arrest Sunday, an unresponsive patient early hours this morning, followed by an RTC - ‘straight-over’ at the roundabout doesn’t mean literally that! Photo courtesy of @SI3368
