@Jason_Tidd Is the out-of-state group also working to get the legislature to raise the minimum wage from $7.25 to something reasonable that would enable them to work, pay for child care, rent, food etc???
Kansas does have a lot of open jobs. But the number of able-bodied adults without dependents receiving SNAP benefits would only fill a fraction of those jobs — and that's assuming they have the requisite skills, which a business survey says is a top issue.

@jpheasly@MikeStucka There was one case in Wheeler County in the past 4 days. The population is 1,440. Thus the high per capita number which makes it sound like an awful place. There have been 110 total positive cases since the pandemic and one death in Wheeler County.
