They have money to spend but nothing like what they were able to have for Ohtani.

An unpopular opinion for #BlueJays fans I’m sure but Chapman only hit .240 in 2023 because of his unreal start of the season. 2nd half he batted .205.

Now if you look at Biggio, he batted .239 at the end of the year. 14 less RBI/ 8 less HR but 220 less at bats.

Also looking at Addison Bargar in AAA Buffalo right now. Batted .250 OPS .756 52 BB in 392 PA. Pretty darn good. Then you look at Fielding and he played 3rd for 172 innings and only had 3 errors.

I gotta be honest… Chapman is a top Defensive 3rd basement in the league..
