From the 30th May 2024, all APPGs were dissolved for the General Election campaign. The APPG on Vaccinations for All therefore formally ceased to have status and all activities are paused. We hope to be able to reconstitute the APPG on Vaccinations for All in the next Parliament.

@Gavi's mission to leave no one behind with immunisation would not be possible without partnerships with civil society organisations. According to the @NHS, 9 out of 10 unvaccinated children can catch measles if another child in their class has it, so the @UKHSA has urged parents to check their children have had 2 doses of MMR.

New statistics from the @UKHSA show that there were 1,603 suspected cases of #measles in England and Wales in 2023.

In 2022 there were 735 cases, and just 360 the year before. 🧵

Since 1996 children have been offered 2 doses of the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) jab, but uptake needs to be 95% to stop the virus spreading in a community.

The UKHSA warned that if #MMR vaccination rates don't improve London could see a measles outbreak with 10,000s cases.
