Welcome @mel_mwicks, who joins the Trust as Executive Principal (Secondary).
Students! Please check your college email account. Important information about college, the national lockdown and exams deriving from tonight’s announcement by the Prime Minister. @ashtonsixthform
@Ashtonprincipal@ashtonsixthform Nothing is easy these days - Happy New Year to the team and yourself - surely 2021 will be easier! Well done and keep up the great work
In light of this afternoon’s announcement from the Department for Education, we will be sending out an email confirming the arrangements for the start of term and examinations tomorrow. Thank you for your patience. @ashtonsixthform
Looking back on 2020... ✨
Our students and staff have shown incredible resilience, determination and strength. In February, we were awarded an #Outstanding rating by @Ofstednews and our college community has continued to achieve beyond expectation.

Fantastic morning for @asfcPolitics students. They took part in a 'Hope for the future workshop' with @AngelaRayner, discussing issues such as climate change, the build back projects following COVID_19 and what it is like to be a female in politics. #nextlevel
Thank you to everyone who posed a question in the Principal’s Q and A session. I hope it was useful and helped you with your thinking. Looking forward to seeing you at college next year! @ashtonsixthform
To keep our college community safe, face coverings should be worn across college by students and staff. Students are able to remove their face coverings inside the classroom.
"The anger that had been directed towards government has been deflected onto the sector at exactly the time when all our time and energy is needed to get students into the right place and frame of mind for September"

What a week it has been. I can't help feeling for all the FE teachers and leaders out there who had to navigate every new turn in this results saga - and most importantly for the students who feel their futures depend on the grades they received - or are indeed still waiting for!
Lockdown, followed by quarantine.....I’m doing as I’m told for all the right reasons but desperate to get back into work @ASFC and see all my fab friends and colleagues. See you Monday.
