@ladoctorajones Multiple factors. Too many residencies have started. Burn out high among ED physicians, boarding patients all time high in the ED, we get abused by patients, families and occasionally consultants, concerns of APPs taking the jobs, etc.

@LifeandPICU @ladoctorajones 3). To schedule— Provider calls our counseling group and report they work for EMI and gives them a 4 digit code they make up. They can do counseling in person or virtual. Then counseling co bills us for session and just uses the 4 digit code.

@LifeandPICU @ladoctorajones 2) but we can still schedule as needed outside of the held spot as well. As a company we fund 4 sessions /yr per provider. It’s just part of our expenses like insurance or paying for a scribe. If the provider needs more they can do more but would break anonymity

@LifeandPICU @ladoctorajones 1) We partnered with a counseling group that have several people on staff. They initially held two weekly spots for us (we had no idea how often we would need this service). We are a group of 60 providers. After a couple of months we now hold 1 spot weekly.
