Our Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor @abigailmashall, today attended Armed Forces Day in Leeds City Centre, where she spoke about the importance of remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and ensure that their legacy lives on.
Honoured to be at our Armed forces celebration with @LordLtWY@HSWestYorkshire. Our armed forces, thank you for your service, your bravery, and your dedication. You are the true guardians of our freedom, & we are forever grateful.

Last Sunday, we @africansinleeds had the pleasure of attending the Civic Thanksgiving Service marking the start of their Mayoral year of the Lord Mayor of #Leeds, Cllr @abigailmashall. It was great to see so many people, including religious leaders, community representatives, etc.
I'm excited that our Wednesday committee meeting will be led by local groups and talking about their plans for the year. Come to hear from people who've set up food pantries, school uniform exchanges, local growing groups, more. Some of the most inspirational people in Leeds!
@ThomasMooreCon1@limkokwing Building sustainable democracy based on justice and civil liberty is a hard and painful mission. But its the only path for Sierra Leone. Well done and please dont give up the struggle.
The Household Support Fund, which provides emergency support to help families struggling with food and energy bills, will end in March unless the Government acts. The cost-of-living crisis hasn't ended, and neither should the HSF. Agree? Add your name π https://t.co/ZAFiTimqnx
@advocaid@EleanorThomps@ecowas_cedeao@IHRDAfrica@APCOF@OpenSociety Hopefully, this precedent will help many of the families of protesters unlawfully killed during protests in Freetown, Makeni, Kambia, not forgettiing 67 unarmed prisoners at Pademba Road by the current government, seek the justice they deserve. Well done advocaid!
@PresidentBio Interesting address Mr President. Proof of the pudding is in the eating. Lets see how you get on in translating those fine words into action in the coming weeks and months, if not days. Time is running out on the economy. Peace.
