Highlights from the Maafushi Tree Planting Event held to celebrate World Environment Day 2026, where all the students of @SchoolMaafushi had the opportunity to plant trees donated by @sdmfarms.
We had the incredible team @ripple join us at the Maafushi Tree Planting event, where they led a beach cleanup with more than 50 students from @MaafushiSchool
Through the session, students learned about the atollβs aquatic resources, the vital role of seagrass, seaweed, and corals in protecting our islands as well as career opportunities within the marine sector.
The students had fun exploring their school courtyard, collecting leaves, seeds and flowers of the trees planted during the Tree Planting Day event, and created a vibrant artwork using the materials collected during their scavenger hunt.
The Maafushi Tree Planting Day was made even more meaningful with an educational scavenger hunt organized by @SecretParadise for more than 30 Little Cubs, STARS, and Grade 2 students from Maafushi School.

Additionally, Grade 4 students planted new seeds in pots and garden beds, encouraging more children to participate in the initiative while contributing to its growth and care.
With 21 students consulted in Kendhoo, the B. Atoll Speech & Hearing Camp concluded with a total of 66 free consultations, including home visits for children with physical disabilities.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to @kendhoocouncil for their partnership and support throughout the camp. We look forward continue collaboration to bring more programmes to the Kendhoo community in the future.
Day 3 of the B. Atoll Speech & Hearing Camp was held in Kudarikilu, where 14 consultations were completed for children with speech, hearing, and learning difficulties, including suspected cases of children on the spectrum and other developmental concerns.
Following the consultations, our speech therapist met with teachers and school management to discuss each childβs individual needs, provide tailored guidance and interventions, and give recommendations to support the needs of educators.
