Panic set in, Cantu tried to reverse, and the cop fired 10 shots, leaving the teen fighting for his life. The cop was fired and indicted for aggravated assault. The car? It wasn't even stolen. But this story takes a wild turn. Years after surviving the shooting and filing a massive lawsuit, Cantu found himself on the wrong side of the law. Following multiple arrests for assault and burglary, Cantu was recently sentenced to 2 years in prison. Meanwhile, ex-officer Brennand is officially heading to trial, facing up to life in prison.
