If you've ever liked 2D Zelda, this will be a must-play. It's not just an homage, either. It's essentially a new Zelda game. Anyone who enjoyed Mina the Hollower's style but also wanted more puzzles and dungeons, this is one you won't want to miss.

@R0D1_R0CK3RZ The Lecarde Chronicles 1 and especially The Lecarde Chronicles 2 in 2017 made up for all the lost time. The latter is arguably the best Castlevania game ever made. It's good that Konami is giving it a go again now.
@animathias It's perhaps my favorite Mario in terms of vibes for its charming creativity. Overall, I have it as my 3rd favorite Mario game after Super Mario World & Mario 64. I think it's tragic how Wario was downplayed into a total buffoon after this game, where he was a credible villain.
@Ruleof2Review So in my experience, none of the titles you have in this picture, or the ones after them, ever quite captured the magic of OoT and Majora's Mask for a 3D Zelda. The Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, and The Minish Cap were the ones who carried the mantle best, in my opinion.
@Migami_Games Migami Games are among the best of the best doing it today. If you like Castlevania, Hollow Knight, or even Zelda, Chronicles of the Wolf absolutely deserves your time. An atmospheric action-mystery Metroidvania whose value for the amount of content alone makes it a no-brainer.
@Castlevania_JP While one could say it references Circle of the Moon or Aria of Sorrow, it's perhaps most similar to Soul Powers from Castlevania Legends where Sonia earns abilities from bosses. I like the franchise cross section of ideas there.
@MeatCobainGamin@Kumesicles I got these in the number 4 and number 5 spot for best Zelda, with Capcom's The Minish Cap close behind. Capcom put in work.
@MetroidvaniaG Did you play Migami's Castlevania: Lecarde Chronicles 2? It was the basis for Chronicles of the Wolf, which came up short in topping it for me.
@MUTGuru A Link to the Past. Only thing Ocarina did better was that it brought the series into 3D. Ocarina is great, but even when it came out, I was thinking, this is a good start for Zelda in 3D, but it's not as good as A Link to the Past in content.
@ArgonautGames_@iamkyleduckman I just played the original Star Fox again recently, which I grew up with, and despite hardware limitations, I think it's the best in the series. Really enjoying Croc, too, since I only got to rent it back in the day. Only a matter of time until Buck Bumble comes back, right?
