They took part in various meetings, among which it is worth highlighting the session titled “Prosperous, Healthy and Dignified: Policy Pathways for Older Women in Developing Countries.”

During the second week of the United Nations CSW70 proceedings, five members of the Central Executive, along with regional executive members from ARS Eastern USA and other ARS members, joined the ARS delegation.

The ARS U.N. Committee will host a key parallel event on March 17 at 6:30pm titled “From Displacement to Justice: Strengthening Protection, Rights and Recovery for Conflict-Affected Women and Girls,” at the Church Center for the United Nations in NY.

The ARS delegation attended the High-Level Meeting organized by the Group of Friends for Eliminating Violence Against Women and Girls — “Five Years On: Securing Achievements and Ensuring Durable Impact,” held with the European Union on the margins of CSW70.

The delegation also had discussions with Luca Frattini, the Coordinator for Women’s Security, Peace, and Mediation at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Maria Bogona Lasagabaster, the Director of the Gender Equality Division at UNESCO.

The ARS delegation attended an event organized by the Jordanian delegation. Following this event, they engaged in a conversation with Sima Sami Bahous, the Executive Director of UN Women, where they shared information about the activities of the ARS.
