I see your profile picture. That’s Johnny Cash. My hero too. Arrested seven times. Smuggled 668 amphetamines across the Mexican border in 1965. Took every drug there was and drank like I did. Cheated on his first wife. Slept with more woman than I ever did. Hit bottom in a cave in Tennessee in 1968 trying to crawl off and die. And then he got up. He got clean. He spent the rest of his life singing for prisoners and addicts and the people the country threw away because he knew he was one of them.
That was the whole point of the Man in Black. He wore it for the poor and the beaten down. He wore it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime. He wore it for the ones who never heard a word of Jesus. He wore it for the addicted and the dying. He wore it as a standing witness that no one is past saving.
You picked his picture. You did not pick his message. Try listening to the words.
I had about a million reasons I wanted to play at Iowa State. The university, the community, my family, even the food in Ames. But playing for Coach Rhoads and his passion for every one of those things was one of the biggest.
In a world of constant change in rosters we strive as a staff to remain transparent and transformational. Culture is important in our program. We continue to look for players to continue what Alumni and current players have built over the last decade. 🌪️🥎
🇺🇸 Trump at 6:00 PM — "Unlike Obama, we had a 'historic victory' in Iran."
🇺🇸 Obama at 7:00 PM — "Yeah, absolute historic. You have been unable to open the Strait of Hormuz for the past 95 days, 18 hours, and 33 minutes." 😂 🔥
Absolute cinema 🔥
@klseaboldt Hey buddy! It doesn’t matter if you are gay or just horny! The way I was raised is if you are are a human looking for acceptance and to be a part of community then that is what is important and needed!!
Since this photo, just over 9 months ago, Iowa State has:
• Lost it’s head coach and his contract/extension through 2032
• Nearly 80% of its starters to the transfer portal as a result, including one of the best/most accomplished QB’s in ISU history.
• Lost its best player to an injury (once again) during March Madness (Jefferson)
• Lost its best returning start to the transfer portal (Milan)
• Lost nearly its entire women’s basketball team, and best players in the country, to the portal
• Lost its gymnastics program to budget cuts/constraints
If you’re still an active, avid, advocate of ISU after this year… 🤝
Every year, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring.
They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died.
France also gave us this land as American soil. #MemorialDayWeekend
