I was a die-hard Dhoni fan at one point of time, but the feeling has eroded bit by bit. The smartest cricketer, whose genius was not in the tally of trophies, but little things like sitting down in front of stumps to better aid his spinners to hit the wickets during a bowl out against Pakistan. The guy who gave us the ultimate prize of an ODI WC win, a generation which was fed up of the same retirees from the 1983 batch being hauled to TV studios every World Cup.

But he has overstayed, and used that stay to not score runs or wins but scoring brand deals. Also his posturing doesn’t help. A army man, who is well within his right to not go to a temple, but has nothing to say about Pahalgam. Very strange. He has worn army insignias on his gloves before in International matches, but no symbolism here. In his home league, is strange. Not protesting but a bit sad about being a fan, whose idol clearly doesn’t care. We will move on.

Its grammar is from Khariboli, the local language spoken by common people in the Delhi region. It descends from Shauraseni Prakrit and through that from Sanskrit. Arrogance is the adjective I associate with @IndiGo6E and it was proven again today. The flight is three hours late; they informed of the delay in stages, provider no proper food and still charge for every kg of excess baggage. The only solution is to fly other airlines

Those of us who started working in the 80s and 90s have seen many bosses like S Subramanyam - reasonably competent people who, thanks to the happy accidents of liberalisation, the industry they were in and a new global order, flourished far beyond they could ever have imagined.
And now they've begun to believe it was just because of their talent and hard work, though more often than not they went home late just because the boys club in office, with all the attendant cronies, was far more satisfying to the ego than going home to family.
