It's baby #turtle season at the field station. Look at these adorable little nuggets! These are baby Red-Cheeked Mud #Turtles (Kinosternon scorpioides), known in #Belize "swanka" or "shut-up-shells." They would have hatched roughly a month ago and already show a lot of growth.
