The APPG on Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) is a partnership of housing providers, parliamentarians and others looking at policy and operational solutions to ASB.
Her insight and leadership helped shape the APPG on ASB's work, including championing practical solutions like problem-solving housing courts to tackle anti-social behaviour and protect communities. Our heartfelt thanks and thoughts are with her family and loved ones.
We’re deeply saddened by the news of Baroness Helen Newlove’s passing.
Baroness Newlove was a passionate advocate for victims and a driving force for safer communities. Her courage and determination changed the way victims’ voices are heard within the justice system.
An excellent Panel discussion with @ASBAPPG and @MidlandHeart on how we prevent, tackle and reduce ASB - based on addressing the underlying causes - including a problem solving Housing Court - with better outcomes for victims.
A great discussion at the Tory Party Conference yesterday. @MidlandHeart Exec Director @Joe_MidHeart, who chaired the event, was joined by @RBryantOBE, CEO of @resolveasb, and @_Lisa_Townsend, PCC for Surrey, for a discussion around the potential for specialist housing courts.
🥅 Our shared goal? Protecting communities from anti-social behaviour.
Police forces like @metpoliceuk and bodies like @premierleague run programmes to create safer streets and more inclusive communities.

Another encouraging start to #ASBAwarenessWeek with MP and group member @MikeAmesburyMP championing ASB and the work of the APPG on ASB at Home Office Qs.
At Home Office questions, to mark the start of #ASBAwarenessWeek, I highlighted the report by @resolveasb which shows 58% believe the government is not doing enough on #ASB.
I’ve asked for a meeting with the Secretary of State to discuss why this is.
A fantastic start to #ASBAwarenessWeek and a great launch event led by @resolveasb!
Amazing to see so many come together to discuss how we can make our communities safer. @SuellaBraverman

Sadly anti-social behaviour can affect our communities. It's an issue we take seriously but we can't tackle it alone. We're committed to working together to address #ASB and are delighted to see the first inquiry report from @ASBAPPG to call on the Government to pilot the use of a Problem-Solving Housing Court in the #WestMidlands for victims of anti-social behaviour.
@wholeymoley Thank you for your reply. The report makes several recommendations to help provide faster redress and relief to victims. In conducting this inquiry we spoke with tenants who have experienced ASB and the evidence they provided has been integral to the development of the report.
The @MidlandHeart Chief Executive, Glenn Harris, talks about the publication of the APPG on ASB First Inquiry report (https://t.co/G2ATk4KUN4) and calls for a problem solving housing court to address #ASB and other housing issues 👇
"In the twelve months ending in September 2022, the Police recorded 1.1 million incidents of ASB"
