When I asked my #arrogant autistic assessor whether they had dx many GPs with #ASD, their response was that he didn’t think autism & GPing could happen due to social interactions. So I forwarded them the recent #bjgp article. #autisticGPs work hard to appear #NT

Qu re: clothing texture sensitivity. Our daughter (who may have autism +/- ADHD) and def has dyslexia is having regular meltdowns due to tightness of underwear & leggings and just wants to wear skirts. Any tips of clothing brands! I’m #actuallyautistic wife is #adhd #dyslexia

Interesting article @guardian regarding GPs use of AI in clinical work. I’m not aware of anyone that uses ChatGPT for actual clinical work but know of an IT literate GP that has created an AI tool for non clinical work. #gpai #chatgpt

Listened to ep 1 of Orwell vs Kafka on @BBCRadio4 with @IanHislop1 & found it fascinating! Sadly my OH & I are currently locked into a #kafkaesque maelstrom with #airbnb with our attempts to pay for lodgings, being stopped by the app, being told to pay, asking for help… /1

3 years ago I got my diagnosis of Autism & finally I understood why I felt different. Today, I set the (slow) ball rolling to get myself assessed for ‘suspected ADD’ via Right to Choose. Later maybe Physio for my Dyspraxia. #NDlottery #actuallyautistic #righttochoose #nhs #add

I rarely read books nowadays, except when I’m on holiday. But a year after importing this book from Oz, I’ve managed to read it & it’s a fascinating & engrossing read! Dr Craig Challen & Dr Richard Harris give their own POV of the ‘nerve-wracking’ true story.

Buy yesterday I spoke to a newly dx autistic adult who said being on Fluoextine really helped control her baseline #anxiety & made me wonder whether I should try an SSRI too. I don’t feel anxious all the time tho. What do other auties think? #autisticanxiety /2

I know #anxiety is a feature of #autism but how does it appear for you? And have you considered treatment? I get social anxiety but tend to mask, height anxiety & since our child was born anxiety about any seemingly dangerous stuff they do. #autisticanxiety /1
