This blended learning approach, developed for us by @DLA_Botswana and delivered in Botswana, Malawi, and Zambia, has given our engineers an accelerated career pathway and allowed us to cherry-pick the most well-rounded, talented staff to support the Clean Energy Transition
Our Solar Apprentice Program in partnership with @DLA_Botswana is a testament to this commitment. Through hands-on training and real-world experience, our apprentices gain the skills and knowledge needed to drive the clean energy transition in Africa. #YouthSkillsDay
Great meeting today with the amazing @GreenLoopBW team with @PowerAfricaUS program team.
Lots of impactive delivery planned for Botswana clean energy transition #SDG13
We're at the end of the final stretch! Our Zambian team made the final touches to the solar system at the Lusaka Blantrye Blantrye Research Facility last week, and the Laboratory is ready for use as a vehicle for amazing innovations in medical research in Zambia.
“Power Your Medical Research Facility with Sunshine🌟: Final commissioning of the @LUSAKABB clean energy security system. One of the Zambian solar apprentices @suzannachulu undertaking system testing today before final programming tomorrow.
Our dedicated Engineer Apprentices who built a 35kw solar system to power the Lab, William Sampa, Given Sikaumba, Terence Bwembya, Salem Simpungwe, Lusyomo Katele, and Suzanna Chulu, were presented with certificates from @DLA_Botswana for completing their solar training.
Throwback to the launch of the Lusaka Blantyre Blantrye Research Facility, supported the Scottish Government and the University of Glasgow. This day marked a milestone in the climate-health sector, and we are honoured to have been a part of it.

Further training for our 2024 Zambian Solar Apprentice cohort. Delivering today's workshop on the use of our energy analyzers to support our project design engineering team in optimising system design. Training lead by @LeticiaSiyaya #DrivenByData
Today, the Francistown office surprised Lorraine @lorraine_nleya (far right) with a spontaneous birthday celebration! From being a top student @UBBotswana to now a director of one of our spin-out companies, she's been with us from the start. Happy birthday from colleagues 🌍! 🎂
Critical in our discussion is how to deliver scalable energy access to the clients at the bottom of the pyramid. Excited to hear about our approach building on the lessons learnt from early to market providers like the many SHS suppliers and mini grid developers. #SDG17
Good one 2 one meeting with the @RockefellerFdn team this morning. Discussions on the new 1000 mini-grid initiative in Zambia. Able to present the community scale model in Botswana funded by @innovateuk and our new project in Malawi with @UofGlasgow and @KUHeS_Nursing.
Interestedly my last meeting was with an established banking institution with one of the first ‘Green Building’ in Africa. Who want to leverage on their experience and impact to develop new business models to support the transition #SDG7
