Every health facility especially one dedicated to mothers and children must uphold the principle that no woman seeking emergency care is ever turned away. We must strengthen accountability, reinforce ethical standards, and ensure that such a tragedy never happens again.

I’ve followed Somali politics for many years, and I’ve never seen a leader as isolated as HSM.

Even his own team and ministers often choose to remain silent, even when he achieves significant successes. Behind closed doors, they align themselves with those working against him.

People on HSM’s payroll stand shoulder to shoulder with those betraying him. Some are already preparing for the next term, lacking the courage to defend him on any issue. Don’t defend him, but at least give him the credit he deserves!

- HSM brought Somalia into the EAC (East African Community).
- He secured a temporary seat for Somalia on the UN Security Council.
-He negotiated debt relief for Somalia, lifting a massive burden off the country.
-He successfully pushed for the lifting of the arms embargo on Somalia after decades.
-He launched an uncompromising campaign against al-Shabaab, dealing serious blows to the group.
-He averted a potentially bloody war with Ethiopia.
-He prevented the division of his country.

Don’t be fooled by those who appear with him everywhere.

HSM is truly alone…
