We are bringing ASL to the world of TTRPG by cataloging and creating signs! Our efforts will allow easier use of ASL in game, improving #AccessibilityInGaming
ASL for RPG is not operating for the time being.
The program has been left solely in the hands of @MystyVander and has separated from DOTS RPG. All involved wish to see a video catalog of signs thrive and hope that an appropriately skilled team will gather to create it someday.
Any feedback or questions you can also direct to DOTS accounts, this account isn't managed as frequently. We're doing what we can while being realistic with our limitations as a small nonprofit. We hope to grow in 2020!
Hello everyone! We wanted to let you know this project has been put on hold for the time being, until we are able to gather more resources and volunteers. If you're interested in volunteering please contact us on @DOTSrpg or email: [email protected]. Thank you for your support!
@Wizards_DnD@MystyVander @SODASigner Thanks for featuring us, we are happy to get the word out about our initiative in making D&D more accessible for everyone!

Read the latest issue of Dragon+, our online #DnD magazine, at https://t.co/hDFj2PM7wh!
In Issue 27, @MystyVander @SODASigner share how they're making D&D more accessible with sign language. Embedded videos show you how to sign beholder, roll for initiative, & more! @ASLforRPG
I am so happy to find this and to read the article in Dragon.
Thank you @ASLforRPG

We were lucky enough to share our thoughts and work with Dragon+ Magazine!
Check it out along with some thoughts from an interpreter with the same goals but for BSL!
*Note: We do not prescribe to "hearing impaired" language*.

@sassmaster64@kadycreates @alarisilver I'm not sure that still fits the actual definition of what a Nat 20/1 is in D&D. We all have our own homebrew signs but haven't discussed what we think is best as a collective.
For the non-signers: What are some phrases and terms you find often come up at your tables that are D&D specific?
For the signers: What are some of your fave sub-class signs you've created?

@SilverlionPrime @MystyVander That's awesome! One on one English translation does not work well at all for spells, but we have a growing dictionary for spells interpreted into ASL!
- MV
@DM_Modoc We understand that fully, but we are starting with D&D and then working our way outward afterward. As a small volunteer group it's important to start with a recognisable brand and then go forward with more hands.

@Trevel@MystyVander Yes, a lot of those are easy for an ASL fluent table to sign as is. Marching order Q is interesting, would be nice if we had a succinct way of signing.

Please be patient with us as our next video will be set to release next weekend, as this weekend part of our team at #A4R will be offering a D&D table in ASL at @UnConGamingPTBO
If you're in the area and are Deaf/HH or know ASL, please join us!

Sign language is diverse, cultural, and hugely varying!
Which sign languages do you know?
(I know ASL and am learning Maritime SL with a hope to find a local individual to teach me ISL - Indigenous Sign Language).

@gallifreyboy12 Yah, I think all governments and school systems can do eons better in teaching about and providing reparations of indigenous cultures.
