Unprecedented:

Very sad news about Eddie Butler. He was no ordinary potato. On the pitch he was King Edward. But off it he was a Commentator.
I hope he’d have laughed!
To me, his voice, like that of Bill McLaren, was synonymous with rugby. I will miss him. RIP.

@RoyalFamily Sir, My family would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family at the extremely sad news of the Queen’s passing. I was fortunate enough to meet your mother briefly - just once. It was a moment that I count among those I most treasure. With fondest regards.
@ggatehouse Oddly satanic looking too. ‘The Coming Storm’ (excellent BTW) put me in mind of this: ‘Paranormal Politics’ by William Gibson (History Today: Nov 21). Seems occult has been party political since 17th Century. Tories believed in ghosts. Whigs prefer science.
Looking across #Torbay towards Thatcher Rock. Glorious costal walk yesterday with @meadowssarahk, Paul Meadows and @katie_mcmorran @ Little Dartmouth https://t.co/Q8Fercd40E
Terrific! Answers to questions, I’d often pondered. Which brings to mind whether this year Christmas ought to be Christ-mustn’t? There will be tiers before bedtime! @susie_dent
In the past, you could be reckful (considerate) as well as reckless. People were also gormful (careful); feckful (responsible), ruthful (compassionate), wieldy (agile), ept (adroit), and definitely gruntled.
Bring back the lost positives.
@ThisisDavina Agreed. More testing = more cases which is not the same as more people are falling ill. We’re just identifying more people that are while testing improves. But the cases figure is big so it makes a better headline. It’s lame news IMHO.
A great Corps Col. Who will be greatly missed. Thank you for all your support for the Royal Signals official beers. And every success and all wishes in your new adventures. #PintswithPurpose#JimmyIPA#MercuryPilsner@mil_beer
Today Col Jason Gunning moves on to pastures new. He has been our Corps Colonel for 3 years and we’ve loved his enthusiasm, his drive and his humour. Good luck in your future appointments, you Royal Signals legend!
#Thankyou and Certa Cito.
@rshotton This reminds me of the story of the king who wanted his people to eat potatoes (I think I heard it on QI. He grew them in his own garden and told his guards to turn a blind eye those who crept in to steal them. Needless to say spuds became very popular.
