Thanks to #Akazi, 30 Malawian healthcare workers have received breast health training for the first time in their careers.
This will enable them to identify women with potential breast cancer at the earliest possible stage, reducing the time taken for diagnosis and ensuring they are placed on the care pathway without delay.

The #Akazi project has provided 15 Malawian healthcare workers with breast health training for the first time in their careers. In total, 45 workers from eight different health centres have received training this year.
This will considerably help efforts to identify breast cancer and reduce diagnosis times.

Engaging and productive discussions were held which will lay a foundation for the development of strategies and policies aimed at improving men’s health outcomes in Malawi. The meeting was made possible with financial support from Global Action on Men’s Health (GAMH).

The Sixth Malawi Cancer Symposium entered its second and final day today, featuring a morning session with insightful presentations. The afternoon session is currently underway, with more presentations scheduled to wrap up the event.
This year's 6th cancer symposium has seen the official launch of the Clinical Breast Examination manual which was developed by the @health_malawi through the Non Communicable Diseases department with the technical support from #ASRT and @RCSI_Irl
