Under TDF scheme Techno Defence Pvt Ltd successfully built the strategic missile-cooling capability known as “Joule-Thomson Cooler”.
It is controlled under MTCR & possessed by only a few countries.
JT Cooler is a compact, lightweight and vibration-free device that rapidly cools infrared (IR) sensors and focal plane arrays (FPAs) in missiles to cryogenic temperatures of around -196°C.
Indian Army’s Armoured Corps is moving towards a more connected and autonomous battlefield with a Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) system.
The system will bring together UGVs, UAVs and a Command & Control Station, with customised EO/IR, thermal, LiDAR and other sensors.
The UGV is expected to offer 500-1,000 kg payload capacity, 30-40 km/h speed and up to 10-12 hours endurance in hybrid configuration, along with autonomous navigation, SLAM, obstacle avoidance and secure communications.
It is also envisaged to support RWS/MMG/ATGM, ISR payloads and UAV/loitering munition integration.

At noon Beijing time today, one of the strategic nuclear submarines of the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) successfully launched a strategic missile with a simulated warhead toward the designated open waters of the Pacific Ocean, which accurately hit the pre-designated maritime area.
According to available information, this was a full-range test launch directed into the southern part of the Pacific Ocean. China has previously conducted full-range intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launches into the Pacific only twice. The first time was in May 1980, when the DF-5 ICBM was launched, and the second time was in September 2024, when a DF-31AG ICBM was launched on a full-range trajectory.
