We joined nearly 120 organizations & elected officials to demand @GovKathyHochul start congestion pricing on June 30.
Congestion pricing is an effective policy tool to fight many of our region's biggest issues. We can't afford to wait.

On Tuesday June 18 Queens Community Board 6 voted to send a letter to @GovKathyHochul asking her to immediately end her "pause" of the #CongestionPricing Toll and allow it to be implemented as originally scheduled on June 30, 2024.
We knew that this may affect our LIRR project. We now have confirmation that it did.
@GovKathyHochul needs to revert her awful, dangerous policy right now!
It was a close vote but @QueensCB6 passed a resolution tonight supporting #CongestionPricing and directing it's Chair to send a letter to @GovKathyHochul, cc'd to local electeds, asking that she end her pause and implement congestion pricing as originally scheduled.
TOMORROW: Join our Queens Activist Committee at Lowery Plaza for a rally in support of congestion pricing.
Tell @GovKathyHochul: She can't cancel cleaner air, faster buses, and less traffic!
Let us know if you can make it: https://t.co/EiTw1QLesi

This shows how much decay the street has experienced, with @NYC_DOT and @NYCMayor ignoring it.
The street needs to prioritize pedestrians! And it is in dire need of new paving and drainage upgrades!
The city is spending mils on downtowns around the city, when it is our turn?
A word toward @ASaferAustinSt: On Friday afternoon I fell crossing Austin St. and Continental Av. I'm physically OK other than some ugly bruises. There's a dip right in the middle of the intersection, so watch your step (unlike me) if you're crossing diagonally. 1/2

Thank you! This specific stretch was highlighted on our Austin St walkthrough.

We Saw...We Heard...We Acted! Scaffolding on a stretch of Austin Street, near 72nd Rd., was impeding pedestrians, particularly older adults and those with disabilities. Glad to report that my office was able to get @NYC_Buildings to remove the scaffolding ⏬️
Another great day at a rainy ☔️ and windy 🌬️ tabling event at the Farmers Market! We shared the space with our new neighbor, Central Qns Micromobility! Check out some pics here! Stay tuned for more info on our next tabling event!

We're happy to see #SammysLaw be included in the NYS budget. Lower speeds save lives, but a sign with a number is not enough.
@NYC_DOT must continue redesigning streets with safety, especially for pedestrians, as the main priority!
We did this but prior to our admin wasn’t political will for change.
Now we’re going to extend the area further w/constructing a large playground as an extension on the stretch on Barrow Street between Newark/Columbus. It will energize with children/parents. Will attract family friendly businesses. It’s the perfect size for something meaningful + we’ll start shortly w/community engagement. @SolomonforJC
It's easy to blame the truck, but ask yourself: how many people are served by the bus and truck, vs the cheap parking on the curb that's blocking the truck?
There's limited space on #FixAustinStreet. It should prioritize the many!
