@educator4ever36 I grew up on a public school with no uniforms. I wrote a high school paper arguing against uniforms. Now that I'm a parent and my kids go to a catholic school with uniforms, I am highly in FAVOR of uniforms. It brings an instant base sense of order and respect.
@educator4ever36 It's inquiry/discovery math that they're using. I have yet to see data that shows nationally or locally that students have benefited from this type of learning.
@educator4ever36 It is not my intention to be difficult or rude. How would you go about asking questions? It's a small rural catholic school. It's actually a very successful school- relative to today's standards. But I know children and parents are still very confused.
@educator4ever36 My in laws told my husband to 'trust the process'. How can you tell me to trust the process when *everyone* clearly rejects this way of teaching and the test scores prove that it doesn't work?
@educator4ever36 My son is in first grade and I lost it over this new way of math. My mother in law and sister in law, both teachers, directly told my husband to get me to stop asking questions because both myself and my son would be labeled as 'difficult' by the entire school system.
@Jen_Valenti@RobSchneider@vitalfarms How do you supplent your chickens? I free range my own chickens and they have as much access to grass and bugs as you could ask for. But I still have to give them feed. My local grass fed dairy does everything as clean as you possibly could, and they feed their chickens corn.
We all know that the sprays are not actually limited to the fields. Anyone with gardens nearby have their tomatoes killed from the drift. My parents have lost huge, old cottonwood trees to drift. Not to mention the complete abscence of frogs in ponds anymore.
@SecKennedy , I was so hopeful with your appointment that crop dusting with planes would be made illegal. Talk about lack of consent for the hundreds of people who are exposed to the drift. Yet, it seems the spray planes are 5x more prevalent this year.
@LarryBrockJr Mud turtles can be seen out crossing roads to find higher ground 2-3 days before inches of rain to arrive. More accurate than the weatherman in Kansas this last June. *Days* before the storm. How do they know???
@RealMattCouch I think there is a huge difference between stay at home mom's and working mom's that carries into grandparenthood. Even after retirement, you ask keep a mindset of serving yourself first and 'enjoying retirement' instead of serving your family.
@RealMattCouch Is it a working mom situation? My mom was a stay at home mom, and she's a great grandparent. My mother in law worked and still won't give up her part time job, even though she doesn't need it and is exhausted all the time with hardly any time for grandkids.
@TRHLofficial I was so terrified that my first born would just randomly die in his sleep, that I literally set an alarm for every 20 minutes of me sleeping to wake up and check to see if he was breathing. I can't tell you how traumatic that fear was.
@bumbadum14 My husband and I were set up through a lady in my church. You might not meet people personally, but if the church community knows that you're a good person, you basically have 50 matchmakers trying to set you up with another good person.
@Anc_Aesthetics Alcohol was a way to create fun and 'let loose' when there was nothing else to do. The fun generated from being outgoing and crazy while drinking offset the cost, taste, hangovers, and danger risks. Now young people are entertained enough with smartphones to not need it.
@MitoPsychoBio Has anyone done studies on people who have experienced the placebo effect? Like enrolled then in other studies to see if they experience the effect again?
@MdBreathe God chooses when we pass for a reason. There are many stories of people saying things to loved ones at the very end. I think morphine to ease pain is good, but morphine into oblivion robs the patient and family of those final days/ moments.
@MdBreathe I have mixed feeling about morphine at the end. My father in law died from pancreatic cancer and was on heavy morphine the last 3 days. It was traumatic, as he he was so out of it, he looked like he was already dead.
@patrickbetdavid I attended a funeral for a 96 year old woman today. There were probably more than 200 people that attended her funeral services. Mostly due to the fact that she had 6 children who in turn had multiple children. The love and support of children later in life is invaluable.
