This.. is bad. This new system rewards people who can spend a ton of money to travel to every event possible and is extremely punishing for new players/people with no local scene. Not knowing if you have your invite locked in until June just sounds like a nightmare.
During Bologna SPE, a Pro photographer, friend of mine, named You Chen took many pictures during set-up, seminar and day1..
He has now uploaded most of the pictures taken, feel free to check them out and use them if you wish! ❤️
Majority are in the Go area

As we all eagerly await the 🏆 2024 World Championships 🏆, we would like to highlight one very important part of our Championship Series and the difficulties the players face.
The TPC organised APAC region has been a pivotal part of our World Championships over the last two years. With Asian players reaching the finals of both Divisions in 2022 and 3 players making top 8 in 2023, it is clear that the players from this region are a force to be reckoned with.
That said, in this 2024 season the number of invites for Japanese players has decreased by 4 as well as 4 invites being taken away from the rest of APAC.
This is despite the number of qualifiers from TPCI regions (NA, LATAM, EU & Oceania) having nearly tripled from the previous year.
To make matters more difficult, Asian players get only one opportunity to qualify throughout the entire season; by taking part in their country’s Qualifier tournament or through the Pokemon Japan Championships.
With all these tournaments being held right towards the end of the active season, players who did not win and earn Travel Awards may find it difficult to fund and organise their trip to the World Championships at such short notice.
While we cannot change the TPC system, we at Dracoviz wish to support our Asian trainers as much as possible in an attempt to increase their representation in Hawaii.
Next weekend we will be hosting a sponsorship tournament to help a World Qualified trainer with their journey to the World Championships.
@PoGoKieng hosted a similar tournament in 2022 with the winner, @alan716_, taking 2nd place in the Senior World Championships. We are hoping to achieve something just as magical this year with your help.
💵 All donations to the Dracoviz GoFundMe will go towards the prize pool for the tournament. If we are fortunate with donations, we may be able to provide funds for more than 1 player.
However if you are not able to donate there are still free ways you can help! Simply 🤍 liking and 🔁 retweeting this post can go a long way without costing you anything!
You can also show your support by tuning into the stream and showing some love to the best Asian players this season who rarely get a live showcase.
We have seen amazing support by the PVP community for all Championship competitors since our inception last year, and we ask that you extend this support to our Asian competitors at this time 🙏🏻
The first beta of the Devon Corporation leaderboard is now live!
