@WallStreetApes Itโs not just health insurance, healthcare in general is the most expensive on the planet with far from the highest success rates. There are many countries who pay far less with better outcomes.
@shoe_magic@BoxFreeThinker@Bitcoin_Teddy Iโm not advocating for anything. I merely pointed out that I think what she was implying was the threshold is too low.
@DoaAmerica@BoxFreeThinker@Bitcoin_Teddy Politicians have never found a dollar they weren't willing to spend. They choose different things to spend it on, but they'll always spend it.
@DoaAmerica@BoxFreeThinker@Bitcoin_Teddy I'm not saying it is right or wrong, just noting that I thought that was the point of what she was saying.
SS would be much better if government would stop spending it on things that aren't SS. One of the reasons there will never be an opt out, even if it were phased.
@Gabriele_Corno Wow, this is so fake. I can almost believe that that's some kind of sonar thing shattering the glass, but the dog is just quietly sitting (not floating), no rush of air out when the glass breaks, somehow the door just pops open, & nobody on the side of the lake seems to care.
@Bitcoin_Teddy Not exactly true. you can take the standard deduction. Yes, state and federal tax systems should move to a consumption based tax & provide a rebate up to a limit to those under a certain income threshold.
@MarketPalmer_ After the invention of the LED TV in a large, lightweight format, little has changed. There is no compelling reason to just replace it. Cell phones, computers, even cars have regular improvements that create the desire to upgrade for the improvements.
@miles_commodore I have an electric car. I turn in the regenerative braking which automatically slows the car. Eventually they get pissed enough and pass.
@austinsilverfx When my daughter turned 1 & a tumor started to grow on her face, I was pretty happy I had insurance. I had only been in the work force about 7 years, so not nearly enough time to save up for that kind of cost. When she relapsed a few years later everything just cost more.
