Many thanks to Dave and Kelly @LyddAirport in Kent for generously gifting my mother, Sandie Moores, a signed picture from her flying days back in 1964. Aviation runs in the genes! https://t.co/NgEwhHpBOk
Excited to share @igairport's ongoing pursuit of triple parallel runway operations, a significant step towards improving our operational efficiency. On @AviationWeek's Window Seat Podcast, we discussed our ambitious growth plans to increase passenger capacity to 200 million annually, the Great Move and our achievement as the most connected airport globally.

Our CEO @selahattin_blgn participated as a speaker in the Wrap-up Session of the Panel Discussion at @ACI_EUROPE Annual Congress and General Assembly.
Highlights from his speech;
๐ The main challenges for our industry are not competition among ourselves, but rather the general situation, influenced by sustainability and operational complexities. We are very positive with respect to the future when it comes to demand and the state of the industry overall, despite these issues. These challenges are common across the industry, making collaboration, cooperation, and information sharing crucial as we grow larger and larger.
๐ The aviation industry must adapt to these changes on a broader scale. We face real challenges from sustainability measures and evolving customer expectations, and we must act in coordination and take timely actions to address these challenges.

I've been in aviation for over 25 years - including five years in airport ground ops - and I learned several new facts about airport codes from this article:

Poor gate performance by @easyJet today at @Gatwick_Airport. The whole flight boarded via the EasyJet Plus lane. When passengers pay for a premium ancillary, the gate staff need to make sure that service is actually delivered. (EZY8067 to VCE Gate 113).
@FlyersFfca@easyJet@A4Europe One of the questions that came up at the conference was whether flying might become like buying organic food - where customers can choose to pay a little more for the most sustainable option. I thought that was an interesting idea - but as you say, it needs transparency.
Just flew back with @easyJet on a flight which was 30% powered with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The same aircraft had just operated an optimised flight route from Lisbon to Lyon. Itโs great to see the discussions at #ConnectingEurope being put into practice @A4Europe
Shout out to @Gatwick_Airport for their efficiency this evening. 20 mins from disembarking my @easyJet flight at NORTH Terminal to standing on the South Terminal train platform. I had 26 mins to catch my train and didnโt expect to be there in good time. Second time in two trips.
