@korzewarrior@high5takes@LustyL0rd@ammalusty Check the rent prices in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio, buddy. They’re even lower in small towns. Gas and grocery prices are well below the national average as well.
Property taxes are high, I will agree on that. Most low income earners don’t own property though.
@korzewarrior@LustyL0rd@ammalusty Do you want to explain how i’m wrong or just keep insulting me? That’s a sign you’re losing the argument, btw.
Is 1% of american workers making minimum wage considered many in your eyes?
@high5takes@korzewarrior@LustyL0rd@ammalusty Lmao where do you live? I’m in Texas, which I would consider relatively low COL,
I was a little off saying $18/hr, I looked and McDonald’s starts at $16/hr, which is still over twice the minimum wage
@korzewarrior@LustyL0rd@ammalusty Don’t get your panties in a bunch.
You said workers are still making federal minimum wage in MANY places.
I don’t consider less than 1% many
@korzewarrior@LustyL0rd@ammalusty Wrong. From the bureau of labor statistics,
“The percentage of hourly paid workers earning the prevailing federal minimum wage or less edged down from 1.3 percent in 2022 to 1.1 percent in 2023.”
It’s less than 1% in 2026
