Yesterday's flight from Lagos to Kano turned into a terrifying experience.
What should have been a 1-hour-15-minute journey became about 3 hours and 30 minutes in the air.
Heavy rain prevented us from landing in Kano, and with many runway lights reportedly going off, the pilot had to turn back to Lagos.
On the way back, the aircraft suddenly dropped and experienced extremely violent turbulence. People screamed and prayed.
Two passengers reportedly fainted, while about three others lost control of their bladders.
What started as laughter quickly turned into fear and prayers.
Thankfully, we eventually landed safely in Lagos.
The experience was a powerful reminder that life is precious, and sometimes we have no choice but to surrender and trust God.

What a video, bro. It’s such a cool throwback to see these young talents watching Ronaldinho’s magic before they became the players we know today.
The video also features several young players from La Masia, including Lamine Yamal, Nohun Sylla, Marc Bernal, David Saez, and Xavi Castellanos.

A 20-year-old phone seller, Olusola Olumide, has narrated how he crushed a police sergeant to death in Lagos.
While on stop and search duty along Olugbede Street in the Egbeda area of Lagos State, police officers signalled Olumide to stop.
He initially stopped but suddenly sped off as Sergeant Johnson Okediji approached the driver’s side. The officer was knocked down and dragged underneath the vehicle for several metres, despite repeated attempts by police officers and passers-by to make the driver stop.
The driver was eventually chased and arrested.
The officer sustained multiple fractures and head injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital and subsequently referred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
