@PanasonicDX4500 I doubt this case in particular has any effect, but yeah it paint a pretty clear contrast in their instincts. Really the idea of Khanna as the left flank candidate has always been pretty bleak tbh.
This is pretty much true of all the 2024 republican primary candidates who weren’t trump sycophants, but most of them were already washed before running, unlike Desantis.
You don’t see much discussion of Ron Desantis these days. His trajectory once his term ends seems especially bleak even when compared to most of the 2016 republican also rans.
I know everyone knows this, but given how poorly his efforts outside of using the governorship have gone, it doesn’t exactly give me confidence he can continue his success without it, even if he increases his lead by 2027.
I feel like people really underrate how big a of problem being out of office will be for Newsom in 2028. He’s mostly achieved success in building support through leveraging the office, and he’ll have been out of it for over year by time voting starts in the primaries.
Really unbelievable that they really were doing a whole pre-war media campaign with the drug trafficking stuff, just gave up halfway through when it wasn’t working, and then went through with it anyway. Just absolutely 0 concern for the public will.
@jacobdotgov Man this whole project really was a total waste of everyone’s time, only a few of those gets above like a 5/10 even by CMB standards. Should have called it off years before they did.
Funniest possible angle to take (and a giant waste of time for this guy), it’s not even a new attack, people just stopped using it because no one cared.
@GABAGOOLMODER Can’t even half-heartedly call out a manufactured famine without qualifying it to cover for the state doing it, a disgusting level of cowardice.
Trump is the easiest way, that guy loves shaking hands, I could do this with three connections for 2 other people I know but I can’t remember if I actually shook their hands or not.
@bridemoder @umichvoter@ettingermentum This annoys me more than anything else in 2024, I spent the time between 2022 and 2024 shitting on Beto constantly only for him to prove he was still actually a good candidate, and the best Dems had in Texas.
@ZFlawles1s It was to a lesser extent, but this also happened after 2016 and ignoring it worked, so they don’t have much incentive to not go with this (other than that a change in leadership would improve their 2026 position, but these people are hardcore careerists so they don’t care).
@ZFlawles1s Doesn’t seem like it unless we get a full fledged dem tea party, Congressional dems are still in lockstep behind him as far as I can tell. House dems seem to be responding to the crisis of confidence in their leadership by ignoring it.
