A little rain and quick switch to indoors couldn’t stop hundreds of El Dorado County residents from coming together today for the annual Veteran’s Day ceremony. To every Veteran of our armed forces, we are so grateful for your service!!
Five years ago tonight El Dorado County lost a hero. Deputy Brian Ishmael will never be forgotten.
More information on Deputy Ishmael’s life of service is available here: https://t.co/aalB2pWj7A
Despite some questionable officiating, it was a great night of @CalFootball (and a drone show!) in Berkeley. Always fun when the stadium is packed out.
Spent some time this morning walking in support of Assemblymember @joshua_hoover and Congressman @KevinKileyCA . If you live in their districts I hope you will consider them when you get your ballot next week!
🆕 #PPICsurvey: #Prop36, a measure that would increase penalties for certain #theft and drug #crimes, currently holds a 45-point lead, with 71% of likely voters saying they would vote “yes”

It’s absolutely insane that a federal court has to tell a @UofCalifornia campus that it can’t facilitate the exclusion of Jewish students. Even crazier, UCLA plans to appeal.
@newsbabe1530 @kcraFinan In terms of people that have been around many years and will be tough to replace when the leave, would add @waltgray916 and Pat and Tom @1051KNCI
@cormier_tc@Penguin57a@JeremyBWhite@GavinNewsom Voters cannot change their actual ballot post-election. If they over or under voted, or regret the person they voted for, it’s too late. What can be changed (or “cured”) is a rejected or missing signature on a ballot envelope that was submitted or mailed before 8pm on E-Day.
@Penguin57a@cormier_tc@JeremyBWhite@GavinNewsom No you can’t cure an undervote. Once the ballot envelope is verified and opened the envelope gets separated so there’s no way to know who the ballot belongs to. This effort would be for situations where the voter didn’t sign the envelope or the signature was rejected.
@Penguin57a@JeremyBWhite@GavinNewsom All of the above. They’ll target Dems in neighborhoods that had strong margins for Prop. 1, thus decreasing the chance that they cure a No vote.
Another PG&E rate increase is coming, and this time @californiapuc couldn’t even be bothered to have a discussion about it before rubber stamping. Where’s the “public” in our Public Utilities Commission? https://t.co/LLmrrI0OkK
I feel for Florida State’s basketball and Olympic sports athletes, who are implicitly being told here by their own school that they aren’t worth anything.
Reading Florida State's 38-page filing against the ACC.
A highlight:
FSU using @ChrisVannini's power rankings to say the ACC should have added Oregon State from the Pac-12 and not Cal/Stanford, who lack "in the lone metric that matters in the athletic conference market today."
