Something I saw today that I don't think people will ever see again in South Africa. We went to a spares shop to get some things for a car we were working on and I saw not once, but twice, very young kids riding their bicycles alone in the street and crossing roads using hand signals. I'm sure the training wheels was removed in the last week or so. Kids playing in parks on a sunday afternoon. Homes with garages standing open with nobody keeping watch over it. There is still so much we will have to get used to. How things are actually supposed to work, like the post. Packages left on porches of houses without 6 feet high fences. No security gates on the porches. Almost, and I mean almost everybody just lives in harmony. People just getting along, or just minding their own business. I'm sure somewhere in this country it's not all sunshine and roses, but at least for the most of it, its clean. We are in the US for 3 weeks now, We haven't been to a lot of places. But not once have we seen sewage running down the streets and people dumping out trash cans next to the roads and people setting up tents for selling goods and cooking food next to the road and just dumping everything at the back after they're done. Sad that we had to leave our birth country for us to experience thinhs the way it's meant to be.

Just visited Crossroads church for the 1st time. I can absolutely say it won't be the last time. Friendly, caring people and sermon that makes sense and feeds the soul... thank you to the people who we met, that made us feel so welcome.
