Elisha Alam: The police should come out and, with the same voice they deny our abductions, also come out and explain to Kenyans where they took us. As Raymond Omollo is denying abductions and saying we abducted ourselves, with the same breadth, he should come and explain to Kenyans where we were.

"Wewe umeona mikutano ya kina Sifuna? Ni organic." EALA Nominated MP Ole Sankok admits that the current UDA-ODM broad-based meetings aren't organic, saying the Linda Mwananchi movement is speaking wananchi's language.
In early 2024, IMF told the government to impose draconian taxation, and when Kenyans protest, they should crush the protest.
That's what happened in June 2024. The government killed protestors.
Since then, the Kenya government has been going round the world boasting about how Kenya is a "vibrant democracy" where people have the right to protest.
Same thing happens with mitumba. Government destroyed the textile industry. Kenyans sought to cope with mitumba. Now the same government is promising to crush the mitumba market for a textile manufacturing that doesn't exist.
Same thing with employment. The government suppresses employment with its looting practices. Kenyans start small businesses and stalls. One day, they wake up and find that government bulldozers came the night before and demolished their stalls, because some rich parasite got the tender to build a multi-storey market on the same spot.
The government crushes us, we invent coping mechanisms and protests, and it turns even our coping mechanisms and protests into capital. At some point, we need to stop thinking that this cruelty is funny. It's parasitic. We are not victims who have to hide from the government. We the host of a parasite that is the government, and parasites can be killed by treating the host, meaning We the People. #MaishaKazini #GentrificationKE

Former Attorney General Justin Bedan Muturi has urged the United Opposition to stop delaying the declaration of its presidential candidate and instead hit the ground running.
Muturi said he is growing weary of endless postponements and political games, arguing that the opposition has little to lose by unveiling its flag bearer now. He posed the question: “What is the worst that can happen if we declare our presidential candidate?”
He further cautioned his fellow opposition principals against handing President William Ruto unnecessary fodder to deconstruct their alliance through prolonged uncertainty. According to Muturi, an early declaration would allow the opposition to unite behind its candidate and begin building momentum ahead of the election.

As Kenya marks Saba Saba 2026, citizens across the country are once again raising their voices to defend the Constitution, human rights, and the sanctity of life. Saba Saba has long symbolized the struggle for democracy and accountable governance. Today, it also represents a collective demand for justice for victims of enforced disappearances, abductions, unlawful killings, and all forms of impunity.
