@GossiTheDog @thejohnjansen irony of this thread is that I learned how to work remotely at Microsoft… in the 90s. For almost 30 years I fought with leaders/clients about remote and hybrid, using MSFT as an exemplar. I bet the reality is that there is a big difference when almost everyone shifts to remote.

@hacks4pancakes Our early backstories are amazingly similar ;-) Started age 7 with Apple II assembler and then mainframe COBOL and k&r C. Big difference I showed up at the MEPS and decided another path. Forty years later still code every day. Thanks for sharing, great story!

@tywilson21 It’s a thankless job to stare depravity in the eyes and know how unfortunately common it is, and how little we are allowed do about it. Similar frustration to doing IR and finding that the breach started with software/code/library flagged as vulnerable years ago, and ignored...
