Europe is warming >2x as fast as the global average, reducing snow & ice cover. High air temperatures, drought, heatwaves & record ocean temperatures affect regions from the Arctic to the Mediterranean.

During 12th #AFRSD, I responded to how Africa can elevate climate finance justice.
The focus must be on transparency, equity and accountability in how both domestic and international resources are used.
With appreciation to the Embassy of Sweden in Addis Ababa 🇸🇪
PACJA & SIDA convened the first Non-State Actors Partner Round Table to catalyze implementation of the ACS-2 Addis Ababa Declaration & shape Africa’s roadmap to COP32.
Key priorities emerging:
🔹 Accelerate local action & innovation
🔹 Strengthen the role of non-state actors in delivery
🔹 Unlock private sector investment for climate action
🔹 Deepen Africa–Europe partnerships for a just transition
A clear call emerged: move from commitments to concrete implementation.

Did You Know?
Greenwashing happens when brands talk green but don’t act green.
A green logo doesn’t equal real environmental impact.
Transparency matters.

On this International Migrants Day, we recognize migrants not as statistics, but as people, workers, innovators, caregivers, leaders whose mobility shapes economies, cultures, and futures worldwide.
@UNmigration@UN#InternationalMigrantsDay#HumanMobility
Migration is not a crisis-it is a global reality.
What creates vulnerability are unsafe routes, exclusionary policies, climate shocks, and conflict. Addressing these root causes is essential to protecting migrant lives and dignity.
@UNmigration#SafeMigration
At Nala Center, we advocate for:
🔹 Rights-based migration policies.
🔹 Protection of migrants in vulnerable situations.
🔹 Climate- and conflict-sensitive mobility responses.
🔹 Inclusion of migrant voices in decision-making.
@UNmigration#MigrationWithDignity
On this #InternationalMigrantsDay, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing safe, orderly, and regular migration grounded in human rights, solidarity, and shared responsibility.
Migrants matter. Mobility matters. Humanity matters.
Day 4 at #UNEA7 brought high-level commitments, intense negotiations, and renewed urgency to act on climate, biodiversity, and pollution. Momentum is building but the toughest gaps are still on the table.
Day 3 at #UNEA7 highlighted the urgent need for unity and coordinated action to tackle climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. Progress was made on key resolutions, but tough negotiations reminded us how complex global environmental governance remains.

Day 2 was packed with tough negotiations on climate, nature, waste, chemicals, and governance.
Progress was made on coral reef resilience and youth participation, but debates on technology transfer, funding, and aligning global agreements slowed things down.
The stocktaking plenary raised concerns about the pace of talks, while the launch of GEO-7 reminded everyone of the urgent need for bold, science-driven action.
As deadlines approach, the pressure is rising but so is the commitment to finding sustainable solutions.
