I agree hitting coaches are overrated BUT the point of a hitting coach is to make very minor minor adjustments to help a hitter before things spiral. Martes fix is easy. He's pulling off everything trying to yank everything. However it went on so long that now he's just lost at the plate.

We ever thought maybe Daryl Greene is just a better hitting coach? I mean Valaika was an atrocious MLB hitter, and clearly can't formulate an approach at the plate.

I know it isn't all on the hitting coach, but I'm sorry not all these guys go from being very solid hitters in the minors to lost in the majors.
