@AskeBay
We had a buyer violate multiple eBay policies in leaving us negative feedback. We believe they confused us with someone else, as we had no buyers ask a question about that item. eBay’s solution was to delete the text of the negative feedback, which is unsatisfactory.
@AskeBay Okay, how do I proceed? I’ve talked to 2 phone reps that assured me that it would get deleted within 24 hours. It has now been 2 days of reduced sales because eBay calculates one negative over a shorter period of time, showing people 98% + instead of 3000+ and only *2* negatives.

@AskeBay It should be removed for multiple reasons, and all eBay did was delete the text of it, leaving the negative in place. The buyer admitted to making a new account to buy an item, and abused the return policy claiming that it wasn’t as described when he ordered the wrong item.
@AskeBay Already done, and I’m getting the runaround. I’ve tried contacting customer service via phone but the automated system claims it’s outside of business hours. Last I checked, business hours for customer service was 5AM-10PM PT and we’re definitely in that window.
@GeorgeBTsiklis@stclairashley@SOFMovie2023 That’s on your friends and followers. Just on Facebook, I’ve seen the official ad numerous times, and was recommended at least 4-5 articles on it. Today.
@AmandaH50915 @maddoxrules Neat! I actually worked in Ann Arbor in the late 90s-early 2000s when I discovered The Best Page in the Universe.
That said, looking at the stuff you retweet, Maddox may not be the person you thought he was.
@maddoxrules This year is the 35th anniversary of the last good MetallicA album.
(Yes, I had all their previous albums, and 13/14 year old me said WTF to the black album and started listening to Slayer instead.)
@Transigence@maddoxrules Only if directed by authorities to provide it. (We did offer data recovery services.) We were told not to access owner’s data unless directed, and it would only be by accident if we discovered anything illegal. In the 7 years I was there, someone found CP twice. We did report it.
@maddoxrules@Transigence In fact, we would use every avenue to contact the owner, including sending a letter via US Mail. After 6 months or so, we would part out the computer, wipe the hard drive, and the hard drive would go into a locked cabinet to be used for parts. (Controller board, motor, etc.)
@maddoxrules@Transigence I worked at a computer repair shop in the late 90s-early 2000s. (Where I first came across the best page in the universe.) The shop can keep hardware for lack of payment, abandonment, etc, BUT the DATA does not become theirs.
We're expanding the challenge!
