If he had died by beaheading, gotta admit it would be a bit weird to wear a pendant of a man lying under a guillotine. I’m a Christian too, so no shade and no judgement. Just saying it’s odd if you really think about it. Some do wear it with sincerity. I’ve noticed over the years that A LOT more wear it to virtue signal.

A lot of us who are deconstructing harmful evangelical messages have found ourselves fearful that we’ve missed something within our own selves that will keep us separated from God in eternity. But with everything I’ve struggled with, I’ve never EVER felt “paranoid.” That’s a word you use when you’re knowingly doing wrong and are looking over your shoulder hoping it doesn’t get seen. I’ll say it a million more times. Word choice matters. You’re 100% correct in your assessment.
