I can’t emphasize enough how accessibility benefits everyone. Ramps, elevators, ventilated air, automatic doors. Caring about accessibility is caring about your future. You will become disabled unless you die young. Investing in the disability community is investing in yourself.
Boomers needed about 306 hours at minimum wage to pay for college. Millennials needed around 4,459 hours. Gen Z needs roughly 6,200. If that doesn’t tell you the system is brokėn, nothing will.
If your corporate job requires a bachelor's degree but only pays $45,000 a year in a major US city, you are operating a scam. That is literally not enough money to pay rent, buy groceries, and pay off the student loans required to get the job.
Can we just start a class action lawsuit against the US government? US Citizens v United States. Gross negligence in handling taxpayer funds would be a good start. Who's in?
The Flock CEO is just doing PR cleanup for calling us all terrorists. His livelihood depends on treating us like terrorists, so don't believe him. Fuck him and fuck Flock. End Flock
Yes, it's completely abnormal for people to spend more time at work than with their families. We need a 4-day, 32-hour workweek with livable wages. There is no reason people should be working this much. The working class deserves to live their lives too.
Hi everyone - let’s start this week with support for this Palestinian family today. Their conditions are dire and a little bit can go a long way in easing their burdens.

I am tired… so tired of everything I see every single day.
Tired of seeing the children of Gaza in the streets like this, seeing their photos everywhere as they beg for medical treatment before they lose their lives. Tired of seeing children running toward us when the water trucks arrive, carrying their small containers and waiting for their turn to get water.
Tired of seeing them rush to receive food because they do not know when their next meal will come. Tired of seeing their small bodies covered with wounds, scars, and diseases. Tired of seeing children who have lost their limbs trying to adapt to a life they never chose, and orphaned children who have lost their parents carrying pain far greater than their young age.
Tired of seeing children collecting papers from the streets to burn instead of wood. Tired of seeing ten year old children working among stones and rubble instead of being in schools, carrying responsibilities that no child should ever have to carry.
I feel helpless in front of this pain… helpless in front of the faces of children whose childhood has been stolen from them. Why are children always the ones who pay the price of wars? Why must they suffer the consequences of something they never chose?
Palestinian pediatrician Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya is being held and reportedly tortured in an Israeli prison with no charges, no trial and no Due Process. Netanyahu's government must immediately release him from these lawless, horrific and life-threatening conditions.
Dave Matthews: “This father and grandfather who was murdered by ICE in Houston, Texas. Then they say he’s not even the guy they were looking for. Well then don’t pull the trigger you assholes. It just makes me mad. I want to send this to the memory of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo”
During the coverage of the England vs. Norway match, an England fan used the live broadcast to chant ‘Free Palestine’ (Fritt Palestina), bringing the voice of truth to the world from the World Cup stands.
In 1991, Isaac Wright Jr. was wrongfully convicted in New Jersey on drug kingpin charges and sentenced to life in prison.
While incarcerated, he studied law using the prison library, acted as a “jailhouse lawyer,” and helped overturn convictions for over 20 other inmates.
Some years later, he successfully proved his own innocence by exposing police corruption and perjured testimony. His conviction was overturned, and he was fully exonerated.
After his release, he earned a college degree, graduated from law school (St. Thomas University School of Law, 2007), and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2017, becoming the first person in U.S. history to go from a life sentence in that state’s courts to being licensed by the same court.
The original trial judge, Michael Imbriani, was later convicted of judicial misconduct, theft, and other crimes and sentenced to seven years in prison.
Isaac now practices law, often in the same courtroom where he was once sentenced.
The USA is killing human beings on a vast scale all over the planet. It is killing under Republicans as it killed under Democrats before that. Do not accept that and vote for the best candidates within those parameters, vote for candidates who want to stop spending on weapons.
